Collier Impero Dec 13/Jan 10, 2026 10AM-1PM Zoom Workshop with Laura Giusti
"Impero" is an important and structured necklace, built around a central element with an embedded Swarovski crystal, from which a symmetrical and richly detailed composition unfolds. The setting and decorative elements are handcrafted using the peyote technique, with precision beads, bicones, drops, crystal components.
The inspiration comes from the aesthetics of ceremonial jewelry from imperial courts, with references to Byzantine art and the richness of ancient ornamentation. The name "Impero" itself emphasizes this idea of grandeur and stage presence. Although it is often created in warm tones such as copper, amber, and rose gold, it has also been made in very different color combinations, all of which enhance its design.
Intermediate bead weaving class. Virtual sessions will be recorded.
This masterpiece from Laura Giusti is component-based and once you learn all the elements, you can make matching earrings and bracelet. First class will be learning how to make the components with the second class focused on assembly and work on the focal piece.
