Description and inspiration of year 2020
Laura Giusti took inspiration for her creation from the mythological figure of the phoenix, also called fire bird. It is known to be able to reborn from its ashes after death and it is considered an auspicious and hopeful symbol since the Ancient Egypt. She decided to represent the phoenix because of difficulties we are going through and in order to wish everyone to get over the coronavirus pandemic, which involved the whole world.
Intermediate and advanced level. Knowledge of circular peyote and herringbone technique is required.
